Description |
A Cockpit Hill (Derbyshire) moulded creamware sauce boat with basketweave reserved on the sides with a foliate scroll edged cartouche containing a pineapple growing in a pot, the moulding to both side is picked out in green, iron red and yellow, Creamware was developed by Josiah Wedgwood in response to the huge demand for tableware which could be durable and attractive, It was first introduced in 1761.
