Item German porcelain plaque of Countess Potacka late 19th century
Description Oval shaped porcelain German plaque within a leather frame, with impressed sceptre mark and paper label to reverse. Countess Delfina Potocka (1807 -1877) was a friend of great Polish composer Chopin and romantic poet Krasinski. She was noted for her beauty, intellect and artistic gifts. It was reported that she sang to Chopen on his deathbed.
Measurement plaque 8 x 6 cms in frame 14.5 x 12 cms
